Authors have the option of choosing either the open access or non-open access model offered by the DECENT Database after manuscripts have been accepted for publication. Without a doubt, both models provided by DECENT Database are ‘game-changers’ in the research and science field. Note that research conducted under the DECENT Research Development Scheme (RDS), will be limited to the Open Access model.
With the open-access model, all authors and the general public have unlimited access to published content. Also, all published articles on DECENT Database can be freely used, provided proper citation is given.
Additionally, the open-access model offers a one-off inexpensive article processing charge once the manuscript has been accepted for publication, but without author incentives attached. This charge is mostly supported by research funding bodies, the authors’ educational institutions, and companies. Where research is supported by individual (out-of-pocket) funds, we will consider a waiver. Note that charges do not apply to research conducted under the DECENT Research Development Scheme (RDS).
